Josie Margaglione opened her law practice in the Austin area in 2008, shortly after moving from Chicago. Josie's practice focuses on family law, wills and probate, and criminal defense. Josie's varied background helps her to listen to, educate and advise clients beginning with the initial consultation. She helps her clients work through difficult issues to devise and advocate for solutions and plans that are in the client's best interests. Josie maintains an edge for her clients through continuous legal education. She is an alumnus of the University of Illinois and graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law with honors. Josie comes to law with a background in education and international human resources, and is a fluent French speaker. She is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Texas.
Prior to moving to Texas, Josie practiced family, criminal and civil litigation with the Chicago law firm of Ariano, Hardy, Nyuli, Johnson, Richmond, and Goettel, P.C. Josie also clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Philip G. Reinhard, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, Explosives, and Arson, the Office of the Illinois State Appellate Defender, and the Office of the Kane County State's Attorney.
